The port shore line is 19.5 kilometers long of the border
of Matou Town. The river is spacious,average width is
1100 meters, and the channel is 23 meters deep, 400 meters wide.
The sailing water level is 6.31 meters. Main channel center
is close to the industry city. The highest flood lever is
23.84 meters in 1998, the lowest withered water level is
9.11 meters , the average water level is 13.04 meters. All
channels are double-way which belong to Changjiang River ,
main one-class channel.
The interior region of the port shore line is spacious
whose shore slop isn't steep, total area is 18.3 square
kms,suitable for building a 10 thousand loading deep water
harbor。
